Coffee cravings!!

What's the first thing you want when you wake up?? For me its always been coffee. I aint no coffee addict and i could make do with out a cup. But the memories that are held by this slightly acidic, hunger killing beverage is just not comparable.Every morning when my mom granny and I would sit down for a morning tumbler of '70-30' freshly brewed filter coffee, we would jabber about everything possible under the sun!!
One Baba Budan tied 7 seeds of coffee around his chest and bought to Chikmanglur and hence started the tradition of this hot cuppa. My beginning were more amusing. I would see all the elders sitting and sipping coffee and i would be fascinated to try it. I would crawl in while my mom would be deep in discussion n empty the remaining of her cup. Oh that bitter stinging taste an achievement in itself..
Who knew our first cafe coffee day (which i tell you was made with so much of paraphernalia) visit would become a norm for comin times. 'I wana have some coffee' to 'i wana sit in AC its so hot outside. come let's go to ccd' we would end up goin to ccd. Those preparations for lab exams in cafeteria were so standard. Oh those zillion talks, so many emotions involved in them so unforgettable!!
And for that south indian spirit in me, I swear by the 'filter kaapi'.. That reminds me of a trip to vaishnav devi, whole family was exhausted and craving for some coffee and we searched every corner to find some fresh coffee but had to make do with instant coffee.. Here is a tip to get that hot cup brewing.. check this link out  http://www.sarasyummybites.com/2013/04/traditional-south-indian-filter-coffee.html forinstructions on how-to-make authentic filter coffee
kaapi, mocha, espresso, latte, machiato, cappucino n all those endless avatars coffee comes in brings with it joy, camaraderie, energy and whole lotta other emotions. Cheers to this versatile drink!

happyness

Is it just me or everyone searches for a reason to smile?? defining happiness would be like travelling the span of earth..but smile happens to be the best or the only way to show how truly n completely u are happy..reminds me of a story..it goes this way..There was a king completely depressed n searching for happiness..one of his loyal frnd suggested he wear a happy man's shirt..his army was set onto the task of finding a happy man n borrowin his shirt..soldiers went from person to person n asked if they were happy none was happy n the search went until one day far away from the kingdom sat a man rearing his cattle singing to himself..they asked him if he was happy his reply was positive..they asked him if they could borrow his shirt then he replied 'i dont own one'..
Probably its our state of mind that decides if we are happy or sad..like many other things in this world our mind comes in handy..u tune it n its going to listen to u..i know it sounds crazy but yes happiness is a state of mind..keep tellin ur mind to be happy..repeat it like a mantra it ll happen..for all those times i am sad this is an antidote, works exceptionally well..
Its said 'always keep smiling, makes people wonder what u upto' n i ll add makes life exciting..:) :)
